This policy explains what we collect through sethscales.com, why, and what you can do about it.
1. What we collect
Information you give us
When you submit the application form we collect: your name, email address, brand name, website, Instagram handle, monthly revenue range, monthly ad budget range, traffic sources, growth goal, current challenge, team size, timeline, and anything you type into the free-text field.
If you text or email us, we keep that correspondence.
Information collected automatically
Standard technical data such as IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring URL, and time on page. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies, including the Meta Pixel described below.
Information from clients
If you become a client we also process business data needed to deliver the service, such as store analytics, ad account performance, and customer list data held in your email/SMS platform. We act as a service provider on your behalf for that data.
2. Why we use it
- To review your application and decide whether we can work with you.
- To contact you about your application and our services.
- To provide, run, and report on the services you buy.
- To take payment and keep financial records.
- To measure and improve our own marketing, including advertising.
- To meet legal and tax obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with unrelated third parties for their own marketing.
3. Advertising and the Meta Pixel
This site uses the Meta Pixel (Facebook/Instagram). It sets cookies and sends Meta information about your visit and actions, including page views, when you open the application form, the steps you complete, and when you submit it. We send Meta a category label for the application (for example whether it qualified) and a nominal value, so that Meta can optimise our ads. We do not send Meta the free-text answers you write.
Meta processes this data under its own terms as an independent controller. You can control this at:
- Meta ad preferences
- aboutads.info/choices and NAI opt-out
- Your browser's cookie settings, or a tracking-blocker extension
Most browsers also honour a "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control signal; we treat a GPC signal as an opt-out of targeted advertising where required.
4. Who else processes your data
| Provider | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Stripe | Payments and subscriptions. Card details go directly to Stripe; we never see or store them. |
| Meta Platforms | Advertising, measurement, and the Pixel described above. |
| HubSpot | CRM — storing your application and our correspondence. |
| Slack | Internal notification of new applications, visible only to our team. |
| n8n | Automation that routes your application from this site to our CRM and Slack. |
| Google Workspace | Email, documents, and client content folders. |
| Klarna | Instalment payments, where you choose that option at checkout. |
5. Text messages
If you text our line, you are starting the conversation and we will reply. We do not add you to a marketing SMS list from a website visit alone. If we ever run SMS marketing you will be asked to opt in separately, and you can stop it any time by replying STOP. Message and data rates may apply.
6. How long we keep it
Applications are kept for up to 24 months from your last contact with us, so we can pick up a conversation if you come back. Client records and financial records are kept for as long as the law requires, generally 7 years. You can ask us to delete sooner.
7. Your rights
You can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, or stop using it for marketing. Email sethevanswork@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days.
If you are in California, you have rights under the CCPA/CPRA including access, deletion, correction, and opting out of sharing for cross-context behavioural advertising; we do not sell personal information and we will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. If you are in the UK or EEA, you have equivalent rights under the UK GDPR/GDPR, including the right to object and the right to complain to your supervisory authority.
8. Security
We use reputable providers, limit access to what each person needs, and do not store card details. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children
This site is for business owners and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
10. International transfers
We are based in the United States and our providers may process data in the US and elsewhere. Where data is transferred out of the UK/EEA, our providers rely on recognised transfer mechanisms such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
11. Changes
If we change this policy we will update the effective date at the top. Material changes will be flagged on the site.
